Little Star Guitar works with local elementary schools providing students with access to quality after school guitar instruction. By adhering to a unique group curriculum, instructors are able to combine group work with individual instruction, providing a comfortable atmosphere for varying skill levels. We believe that every child can benefit from learning to play the guitar, and that children learn best when they're simply having fun and in the company of their peers.
Classes
Little Star Guitar provides group lessons for beginner and advanced students 2nd through 8th grade. Our group curriculum provides a fun, interactive, and creative introduction to the guitar, teaching students basic melodies, open chords, and playing games and songs that assist in learning class objectives through curriculum-based lyrics. Students are encouraged to practice and perform from a progressive series of skills and concepts learned in class, and will also enjoy the unique experience of participating in the creative process by writing and re-creating their original songs.
Instructors
Little Star Guitar continues to develop instructors who have a clear understanding of the Little Star Guitar philosophy, that every child is a star when it comes to the creative process! All instructors have passed background screenings, attended Virtus training, are proficient guitar players, trained to teach the Little Star Guitar group curriculum and will provide the necessary encouragement that is required for a positive learning experience.
